Learnings & Results
As customers began adopting workspaces, they expressed a need to share limited access to specific documents with users outside their workspace. Customers were requesting a form of “guest” access. This was particularly important for OEM companies engaged in frequent cross-company collaboration.
Introduction
Led design of Dozuki's enterprise experience to better serve organizations with 1,000+ employees. The original product was built with a consumer-oriented approach, so I focused on rethinking workflows and interfaces to meet the complex needs of large-scale companies.
Problem
Enterprise customers were running into efficiency issues managing thousands of users and documents, along with the general upkeep of Dozuki. I focused on making these tasks easier by designing tools for bulk user management, document access control, and improved security.
Opportunities
User opportunities (Why do users care?)
Supervisors can quickly get administrative tasks done. Currently, they spend a lot of time onboarding users, restricting access to documents, and don't feel comfortable with the user experience.
Business Opportunities (What's in it for Dozuki?)
Revenue expansion. Enabling a more efficient enterprise experience and use cases, customers are more likely expand Dozuki across departments. Customers are hesitant to expand because of the limited enterprise capabilities.

Future Considerations

Workspaces provide a secure, controlled environment where customers can audit user access. However, there are cases where they want to grant limited access to external collaborators who aren’t part of the workspace. (Ex. Duplicating content or engaging in third-party communication)

I have to consider not just the core feature sets available to users, but also the sub-features and data within those features that customers may want to restrict access to - for both security and cost reasons.
